Radcliffe School Captures 2026 Sam Battaglia Memorial Basketball Tournament Crown

NUTLEY, NJ - Radcliffe Elementary School captured the 2026 Sam Battaglia Memorial Basketball Tournament crown with a 44-24 victory against two-time defending champion Lincoln School in the finals on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Nutley High School.

Radcliffe finished with a perfect 3-0 record in the annual round-robin tournament, presented by Third Half Club of Nutley.

In the consolation game prior to the finals on Friday, March 20, Yantacaw School upended Washington School.

In semifinal action on Thursday, March 19, Radcliffe advanced to the finals with a 33-20 victory over Yantacaw, while Lincoln defeated Spring Garden School to earn a spot in the championship.

Radcliffe and Yantacaw scored big opening round victories in the tournament on Wednesday, March 18, as Radcliffe defeated Washington 39-9 in the opener, while Yantacaw beat Spring Garden School 30-19 in the nightcap.

Reigning back-to-back champions Lincoln School earned a first-round bye but were ultimately unsuccessful in their bid for a threepeat.
